Our Favorite Lenovo Laptops
We choose to sell Lenovo laptops because they perform consistently and the innovation is cutting edge. In 2014, Lenovo once again proved it's market dominance by winning four "Best OF..." categories in Computer Shopper Top 100 Tech Products for 2014 and scoring 2 Honorable Mentions.
Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro
"The Yoga 3 Pro features a 3,200 x 1,800 touch display, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of flash storage. It's even available in three colors—silver, gold, and Clementine Orange. A small additional cost doubles the storage to 512GB. Like all Yogas, its screen pivots a full 360 degrees through laptop, easel-like "stand," A-frame "tent," and tablet modes; unlike previous models, it can lie flat on a desk or table when opened 180 degrees. We also enjoyed its excellent 13.3-inch touch screen, above-average speakers, and eight-hour-plus battery life, while the Core M CPU proved fully capable for everyday tasks including HD video streaming."
Best Convertible Laptop
Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga
"Lenovo's ThinkPad Yoga implements a clever fix called a "lift 'n' lock" keyboard: As the screen swings past 180 degrees, the keys retract (actually, the keyboard deck rises) until they're flush, forming a smooth surface for gripping the 12.5-inch hybrid.
The ThinkPad Yoga impressed us most not with one particular feature but with how well-rounded it is. It has a great keyboard and touch pad, beautiful 1080p touch display, ample performance for most tasks, and unexpectedly great speakers for a business notebook. In essence, it combines the best of the business and consumer worlds into one slick device. "
Best Budget Big-Screen Laptop
Lenovo Flex 2 15
"To begin with, the Flex 2 15 is a very good budget laptop that is loaded with features... What sets it apart is its ability to switch from a regular notebook to an easel- or kiosk-style touch-screen PC, at little or no price premium over conventional laptops. "The 15-inch Flex 2 delivers a big-screen experience a tablet can't match, as well as a trick hinge that moves the keyboard out of the way and props the screen up for use as a touch-operated PC," noted reviewer Jamie Bsales. "It's ideal for tasks where the touch screen is all you need for interaction: watching a video, having a Skype chat, casual Web surfing, or following along with a recipe in the kitchen."
Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11e Chromebook
The ThinkPad Yoga impressed us most not with one particular feature but with how well-rounded it is. It has a great keyboard and touch pad, beautiful 1080p touch display, ... and unexpectedly great speakers for a business notebook.
Reviewer William Harrel ties it together: "This is one great convertible. You get all the business accoutrements of the ThinkPad—durability, comfort, and so on—as well as the versatility of a Yoga. We understand that it's a huge risk to make drastic changes to products so well ensconced as the ThinkPad, but as far as we can tell, Lenovo has successfully taught this model to do yoga, making it all the more nimble and versatile in the process."
